After an introspective week, I deserve a day off. I’ve taken a cue from my sensei to do some randomness.
Besides, someone might need to catch up on the conclusion to my confident pessimist story.
Okay, let me explain me drinking if my roommate reached a certain weight. I said that because his number for his weight was outrageous. It would have made the late Mother Theresa roll in her grave laughing.
To me, the fact that my Sigma Chi roommate feels better about himself mentally means more than the actual pounds that he’s lost.
Today, I went shopping with my scheming roommate at Sam’s Club this weekend. We contributed to the evilness of Wal-Mart by buying things in bulk. What surprised me most was the cheapest thing on the receipt. It wasn’t the box of forty-eight Fruit Rollups, the four pack of Capri Suns, or even twenty-four chicken-flavored Ramen cups. Nope, it was 32 bottles of Nestle bottled water. Let’s hear it for necessities.
I wanted to grab some boxes of chocolate, but I’m helping out my dieting roommate. That meant no cokes, either.
Late Friday night, I talked to the lucky French girl from Paris. She said that she was going to move an apartment in Bordeaux tomorrow for business school. I went to sleep, and I happen to talk to her on AIM that morning.
Aren’t you supposed to be moving to Bordeaux?
No, that’s tomorrow.
Dang it, I got owned by time zones. Have you ever experienced a similar situation?
