Good news plus a perfect quote
My signals professor cancelled class on Friday. Then my electronics professor also cancelled class on Friday. As those are the only two classes I have on Friday, I will get an unexpected Friday off.
That's good news!
Today, I was talking to my history research advisor, the sagely Dr. Buckley. He's one of the old school history professors, having taught at Tulsa since the 1970's. When I mentioned to him that I was going to become a regular writer for my college newspaper, he pointed me to his door. It had a perfect quote by the Frenchman Moliere:
Writing is like prostitution
First you do it for the love of it
Then you do it for a few friends
And finally you do it for money.
