Welcome
A shout out to my new friends [livejournal.com profile] areawoman, [livejournal.com profile] themaskedsmile, and [livejournal.com profile] ambitious_1!

An odd feeling
So I'm typing this post on my laptop on the wireless at my parents' house and then I realized something: It's a house, not a home for me anymore. "Home" for me has become my apartment in Tulsa, where I am free to make my own decisions.

I'm one of those people who believe that you should respect the rules of the masters of the house. So as long as I stay at my parents' house over spring break, I do them the courtesy of playing by their rules.

Then again, some of their rules involve catering to this lazy, spoiled brat so I can't always complain. Plus the food here is delicious! ^_^

A/C broke
The A/C at my parents' house broke. Fortunately, the technicians came by and installed a new system

Lasagna kit
I made my first batch of lasagna last night at Anime Mike's apartment. It turned out fairly well. At the very least, all of it was eaten. :)

In D&D terms, I just gained +1 to my cooking skills.

Verse of the Day
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
~1 Corinthians 13:12

Convos of the Day
Mom: You need to gain some weight.
D2: Well, I brought back home some jeans that don't fit me anymore.
Mom: Like I said, you need to gaim some weight.

Quote of the Day
"Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are."
~Chinese Proverb

Link of the Day
Anti-virus bungle devours files. Whoops.

Sports Report
D2's March Madness upset specials:

12 seed Texas A&M over 5 seed Syracuse. McNamara just had the tournament of his life? That's exactly the reason the Orangemen will lose. After last week's thrilling tournament run, they will come out emotionally flat and lose to the Aggies.

8 seed Arkansas to beat 9 seed Bucknell in first round and 1 seed Memphis in second round. I admit I'm biased here, but look at where the Hogs are playing. They are playing in Dallas, Texas, which is very friendly for Arkansas.

Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine. My personally biased regional winners are 1 seed Duke, 8 seed Arkansas (I would take UCLA out of this region if I were unbiased), 1 seed UConn, and 3 seed Florida. Duke over Florida in the finals just because that's how my coinflips worked.

Magic happenings
A spring break sandwiched by Magic
I decided to go to the TWo-headed Giant Champs Tournament this weekend. So my spring break starts off on a big Magic tournament and ends on a big Magic tournament.

Happiness. ^_^

Weddings
A coz of mine is getting married this June 24th even though she said that she would never get married. Never say never. ;)

"Too cold" just makes more sense to me. I can put on more layers of clothes, but I can only get so naked.

Fair enough.

But the fact is that from where I come from, there ain't no winters. I get sick when it's too cold. Heck, I got sick one time because my scheming roommate insisted that the temp in our dorm room to be like 60 and I feel asleep at my desk, without the warmth of being under the covers.

Heh, I thought about the double entendre, but if I think I would have to have had "too hawt" as one of the options.

For the too hot or too cold question: is it a dry heat? ;-)

Depends on whether or not it's a dry cold. ;)
