So, Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson collaborated one time...

So, I was curious about his number one hits. I did not know that Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson had collaborated on a number one hit (hey, it happened before I was born). They had a falling out afterwards when MJ bought the catalog of McCartney's songs. In any case, "Say, Say, Say" is quite a good song!

Isn't "The girl is mine" not also a collaboration between those two?

I like this one better, though.

Google says "The Girl is Mine" was another collaboration between the two, though "Say, Say, Say" was by far more popular.

Nice to hear that again. Sounds like there's more Macca than Jacko in it to me.

It makes you wonder how much more music magic they could have made if their friendship hadn't turned so acrimonious. I guess that's why they tell you never go into business with your friends...

It amazes me, the things you've never heard of being only six years younger than I am.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I clearly remember when this one came out!

Well, just think of all the things you never knew about since you're six years older than I am! =)

I'm one year older than you, and while I think some people my age or not much older remember Michael Jackson from their early childhoods, I don't. I sang "Heal the World" in school choir one year, and "I'll Be There" a few years later without even knowing it was associated with MJ, but I don't remember "Thriller" or "Bad" at all. My parents never listened to him; I think most of his fan base was between my parents and me in age (i.e. Generation X).
