Random thoughts, 11-12-04

Yesterday, nobody told me in person that it was Veterans' Day. Admittedly, this probably had to do with the fact that I was busy but I did meet quite a few of my friends during the course of the day.

Baklava is very delicious. Find a place that makes some and eat it. Now.

A local newspaper reporter was at the Ramadan fast thing. I may get randomly quoted in the Tulsa World. Oh boy.

I submitted an article to my opinion editor, but I didn't feel like posting it because it was a rehash of this post.

Thank God it's Friday!

I knew I would eventually make that mistake. Don't tell anyone, promise??? You and two others are the only ones who know. :(

I repeat, under the proper name...

Mmmm...Baklava, yum! I am making no less than three kinds of muffins from scratch for this weekend. If they didn't have to be fresh for Sunday, I would make them right NOW.

:)

I got randomly quoted in Tulsa World once! I was at a museum..that I forget the name of..but it's the ...the one that I think starts with a P, and had a big Indian exhibit when I was six. I got featured in a cartoon about kids at a museum with my friend Elizabeth. It was my most famous moment, after getting photographed talking to Steve Clark before he went corrupt.

Philbrook.

Once, in my hometown newspaper, I went to a debate between congressional candidates at the local community college (for my ninth grade civics class). My mom and I picked up some brochures, and the next thing we know this guy is asking us our names. The next day they had a picture of my Mom and I looking at the brochures at the table...on the front page. That was a randomly famous day for me.
