Overheard at the BSU:
I'm going to dance like I'm not Baptist.

Thank you Shaun Alexander, you were worth a first round pick on my fantasy team. Carson Palmer in the sixth round was brilliant. The steal was Carnell Williams with the tenth round pick. And I still have Willis McGahee on my team to compound my problems. Now if I could only could a better number two wide receiver (Michael Clayton in the third round was a mistake).
-------------------------------------------
A's sinking. Indians faltering in the sun. Yankees looking good despite question marks at pitching. Red Sox bullpen trouble is foreboding. Marlins down. Astros need to score. Phils will choke. Braves look like the best team in the NL.

I missed a thrilling TU football game to play Magic at the Ravnica Prerelease. It was worth it though. Short summary can be found here.

What's your favorite theme park ride?

Hmmm, I don't really know. I like the fast ones like rollercoasters (though they shouldn't be too fast) but the slow ones that moves through lots of animatronic scenery are very nice too. I think I'll have to go with the Fata Morgana in the Efteling -- a 'slow ride' through a 1001 nights-themed complex.

I like rollercoasters, too.

We we're up 11 with only the Monday night games jake Plummer to play. :( So we lose by two...

Left Witten on the Bench for Jerramy Stevens dropping 7. :(

We've got almost the whole Seahawk lineup. Had one of those Alexander runs been a pass to any guy we've got, Jackson, Engram, or Stevens, we win as any TD pass there is worth 10 points...

Last week we left Alex on the bench and played Curtis Martin. I hope you saw the Marty stop/fumble at the one foot mark. Plus we have Lamont Jordan and cringed when his 58 yard TD run was called back for holding. Holding away from the play. Goodbye eight points...

We're 1-2 despite being 6th in total points. But we're the deepest team in the league and the bye weeks have started. We've got Kevin Curtis and his value has gone up as well...

Curtis...he's still on the waiver wire in my league. Looks like I'll have to pick him up to try to solve some of my receiver deficiencies.

I don't like regular theme parks all that much, but I love love love waterparks. For some reason rollercoasters freak me out, but throw in some water and clutching a yellow rubber tube, and I'm so there.

My uncle took me to an awesome waterpark in Texas. They are very fun, especially that moment right before you know you're going to fall out of the slide.

Favorite theme park ride:

Dueling Dragons, Universal Studios FL. It's two roller coasters that start at the same time, and the tracks cross one another and twine around each other. The track is overhead, so your feet are hanging down. There's loops and twists.

And I love it because I sat in the front row, and there's nothing in front of you. Nothing. And at one point, the other coaster is coming straight at you and it feels like you can touch the people on that track and at the last moment it pulls up into a loop.

I love roller coasters. There's one at Busch Gardens that's supposed to have like a 90 degree drop, that your facing downwards when you fall, but I haven't been there yet.

Busch Gardens, I'm going to have to check that one out some time. I like rollercoasters too, except that the front isn't exactly for me. I tend to get too nervous to sit in the front.

I got Cadillac late in one of my fantasy leagues, the one where I have the absolute juggernaut of a lineup. These were the guys I started this past weekend:

Ben Roethlisberger
Cadillac Williams
Shaun Alexander
Tiki Barber
Hines Ward
Torry Holt
Shayne Graham (Cincinnati kicker and Hokie)
Buccaneers Defense

Yeah, I won this last week.....

Whoa, that's a ridiculous lineup. The best team in our league looked like this:

Kerry Collins
LaDaimlanian Tomlinson
Steve Smith
Jimmy Smith
Darrell Jackson
Antonio Gates
Jeff Reed
Colts Defense

To be fair, we have a league that doesn't make you play a Tight End (although you have to keep 2 on your roster at all times), so that's some of the discrepancy, but the draft went real well.
