Strangely enough...

My first class was canceled. The class waited for the classroom to be opened, and finally a grad student came by. He stated that the sagely Dr. Buckley would not be showing today, handed out the syllabus, and called roll. Then we left.

Normally, I'd be happy that I didn't have class, except this is my favorite history professor. Plus, he's my research advisor. I'm sure he has a good reason.

The first day is a strange day for a professor not to show up.
