Random thoughts, 9-12-05
Sep. 12th, 2005 12:10 amI'm beginning to think they should rename 9/11 "God Bless America Day".
--------------------
Minor pet peeve: I don't like it when they screw around with traditional songs like the national anthem or God Bless America. I mean what's up with all that extra stuff? People get too tired of the traditional way of singing the Star Spangled Banner?
--------------------
This is my first year to do a fantasy football league. On a whim as a Steelers fan, I picked up Willie Parker to start for me. Thank you 209 all purpose yards and a touchdown. I also had Carnell Williams, but I benched him in favor of Shaun Alexander. I'm going to try to play the hot hand and get a WR while I still can.
--------------------
Wild card races in baseball have stratified a bit. A's a bit more doubtful after Crosby's injury, but the A's have the pitching to go far. Same goes for the Marlins.
--------------------
Yeah, so in Sunday School today, the Question of the Day was "If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you would save?" Okay, I have to admit my first thought was my laptop since it does have a few important files on it. Then I felt kinda bad when people started mentioning their family members. I mean, am I bad person for assuming my family will be able to get out on the fire on their own? Or is that just a reflection of how materialistic I am? Hrmmm.....
