I just had a three hour IM conversation with mysterious Phil. We were chatting about the source for my inaugral NaNoWriMo material next year. He may have been too full on spirits when he said it could win a Nobel Prize, if you know what I mean.

Tomorrow, at 12:00 EST, turn your TV on to ESPN. You should be tuned to the first ever Conference USA Championship Game. Cheer for TU!

Arkansas basketball looks to be good this year with Ronnie Brewer. Lack of a point guard will prevent the Razorbacks from being a great team. Okay, as far as Tulsa goes, we aren't too bad but we're going to take our lumps this year with a young team. A lot of lumps.

You are a Believer

You believe in God and your chosen religion.

What kind of curry do you prefer?

Ghost Rogan Josh, by far. When I cook curry myself, I tend to use chicken ('Murgh') instead of lamb ('Ghost') -- and since [livejournal.com profile] ingiechan likes Balti better than Rogan Josh, I cook that often as well. I quite like Basmati rice, but since [livejournal.com profile] ingiechan likes naan better, we often eat that.

Also, I want to take this opportunity to state that I dislike extremely hot curries. All you can taste are the chillies, and all the subtle flavours that are (to me) a curry's main attraction is lost. I had a Vindaloo once, never again. I'd rather taste what I eat.

And that's why I call you a WOMAN!!!

No, seriously, have you ever tried curry and rice? 'Tis a pretty good combo. I mean, you'd think a smart@$$ would know enough to know that being able to partake of all sorts of different cultural foods improves one's health, both physical and social. Then again, you're probably one of those dumb@$$es who only like to eat McDonald's. :P

Now you're even making Freudian slips, my dear. I won't ask what you are thinking at this moment.

I adore Indian and Thai food. My favorite is yellow curry. I keep planning on going to my favorite Thai restaurant in Albany but can't seem to get around to it. I WILL go tomorrow though. I also need to pick of some more stuff from A Taste of Thai so I can make my own. We have a lot of ethnic grocery stores like Ranch 99 around here. Unfortunately for me my husband doesn't like spicy food so when I make it I have to make sure I do it when he isn't home. Oh well, more for me.
