New default icon
It's another gaiaonline avatar. I call him the Angemon the Benevolent Dictator. Unlike the other Angemons, his hair is slicked down to wear his black crown. Also, he only wears black or white, as he only sees in black and white. Good is whatever benefits him; bad is whatever does not. He is a bombastic prick behind his Romani sunglasses. His jester's rod is a symbol that lets you know that you can't always take him seriously even when he's being dead serious. His gloves have iron strips to indicate he rules with an iron fist.

Having trouble wearing your engagement/wedding rings?
A while back, a good friend of mine was having trouble with her wedding rings (the first college friend wedding I ever attended). She was wearing her engagement ring/wedding ring combo all the time and she developed a nasty rash under her them. Here are five suggestions to try if your metal engagement/wedding rings give you trouble:
1. Don't wear the rings all the time. Take them off at night, put them back on in the morning. I'd try this first -- get the finger good and healed first, then start wearing the rings only during the day.
2. Coat the inside of the ring with clear nail polish. This will have to be repeated often (possibly as often as once a week), and won't work well if the inside of the ring isn't solid metal (say, if there is a stone in the ring).
3. Have a jeweler coat the inside of the ring with titanium. Titanium is physiologically inert (which is why it's used in joint replacement implants).
4. Replace the ring with a more pure metal, such as platinum. This isn't guaranteed to solve the issue, but this in conjunction with (1) might be sufficient.
5. Make sure you dry your hands thoroughly before putting your ring back on. One suggestion is to switch your rings from your left hand to your right hand for a few minutes so it can dry properly.
It worked for my friend, so I'm sure it can work for you. The Most Wise LJ Genie knows it to be so.

The mean score for how good was your 2005 was 6.5. A better than average to good year, but nowhere near a great year. Sounds about right. Two people put a ten. As a pessimist, I have to say that it can only go downhill from there.
Most of you think 2006 will be a good year.
Only two people kept their new year's resolution(s). Eight do not even bother to do them.
Two of you are going to work this new year's.
I want to celebrate one new year's outside of the US, just to see what other people do differently.
