Mar. 7th, 2006 07:37 amBacevich Lecture
The Faculty Study was packed. I guess the Iraq War is a hot topic!
The lecture itself was split into 10 points. Overall, his lecture was only about 45 mintues long so it wasn't too bad.
His main point was that he believed that both Democrats and Republicans will be responsible for our failure in Iraq if we do not pull out soon.
Layout problems
Someone pointed out a very obvious layout error I made this week in the Collegian. AARRRGGGGHHHH! I hate it when I do that.
Judicial Council
I serve as a justice on the judicial council of my student gov't. For the first time in two years, we actually convened to discuss a case. We're a reactive body that is only called on in times of disuptes, of which there are far and few. But when there is one, it's pretty serious.
Verse of the Day
"For I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
~Galatians 2:20

Quote of the Day
“Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.”
~Will Rogers
Link of the Day
One billion page views. Ah, the lengths people will go to just to win a bet.
Sports Report
TU's women basketball won Conference USA Tournament! We had to win to get in because our conference RPI is so low. We'll probably be given a thirteen seed, but we definitely have upset potential thanks to five seniors and one of the best players in the country in Jillian Robbins.
Entertainment
Hayao Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle did not win the Academy Award. Just a reminder of how anime isn't the end-all, be-all of animation.
Shamrock Charity Dinner
The ladies at Kappa Delta Sorority put on a Shamrock Charity Dinner. Five bucks bought you all the Italian food you could eat. I ate three platefuls of some delicious spaghetti. :)
Random Question
Given a choice between sleeping for two hours or sleeping for twelves hours, which one would you choose?
