Smart ass.

It's funny because Springsteen wrote it: Smith sang it. Then in the 90's, 10000 Maniacs covered it in an unplugged session, and then Patti Smith became hip again. She was in mourning over her husband, Fred "Sonic" Smith.

This is the kind of crap I spew to my girlfriend, who then calls me a music snob, and old.
