My friends, I feel like I’ve fallen into this dark, deep pit and I don’t know how to get out. I just swing wildly, looking for help. My friends want to help me, but they don’t know where I am. It’s too dark where I am now to reach me. But perhaps one noisy friend will risk going into my dark cave to get me out. Don’t get your hopes up.

John Drymon, the friend that I have known since kindergarten, called me up yesterday. Ah, it’s rare to find a friendship like ours, one that started so early and lasted. But he’s a lover of all things British so I should call him an ole chap.

We also visited Mike’s apartment. Now Mike’s friends know the red mage of our group. Yes, Father John is the red mage of our group because he knows everything. He once memorized an entire edition of Trivial Pursuit (good Lord, he’d go last and he would win on one really long turn...he learned to miss some on purpose just so that we’d play with him). He has the full beard in preparation for his priesthood in the Episcopalian Church. I will go visit his church over break, especially if Father John is giving the message.

In respect to [livejournal.com profile] genuinechris and [livejournal.com profile] zoethe, I will start limiting myself to two pages on Word documents for all my posts. Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] moocowrich, only history majors like to hear history majors ramble.

The rogue needed gas so the white mage gave the rogue fifteen dollars worth of gas as a Christmas present (the white mage would have given it anyways according to the Scriptures). In exchange, the rogue gave the white mage a “Warning: Slow Children at Play” yellow road sign stolen from Arkadelphia. Actually, the white mage kind of grabbed it and thanked the rogue for the gift. The rogue understood what had happened. And now a road sign from Arkadelphia will soon hang in the living area of a university apartment in Tulsa.

Convo of the Day:
D2: Do you know why we are good friends, John?
John: No, why are we good friends, Daniel?
D2: Because you understand the principle that the same ships built in the same shipyard sail for different ports.
John: What principle?
D2: Okay, let me explain. Every nation needs a navy right?
John: Yes.
D2: Now most of your ships are going to be built in a select few ports, right?
John: That does seem to be the case.
D2: Now a few of the ships will be part of the same fleet and travel together, but most of the ships are destined to go to different parts of the world, right?
John: Right.
D2: John Drymon John Drymon, we’ve known each other since kindergarten. But we understood that we were different personalities destined to do different things. And because we realize that, we remain the best of friends.
John: Daniel Tu, that is an awesome analogy.

Rent is a good musical. I can only recommend one viewing though, as I hate poetry. And musicals are just a bunch of poems set to music.

You are The Magician

Skill, wisdom, adaptation. Craft, cunning, depending on dignity.

Eleoquent and charismatic both verbally and in writing,
you are clever, witty, inventive and persuasive.

The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud. Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is represented by Mercury. He represents the gift of tongues, a smooth talker, a salesman. Also clever with the slight of hand and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.

Do I ramble too much?

Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] moocowrich, only history majors like to hear history majors ramble.

Lies. I'm a philosophy major, so I understand the art of The Ramble. History, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, and many other disciplines concern themselves with Rambling. In fact, rhetoric is an entire field of study devoted to honing the Art Of Ramble.

We are among the few who appreciate The Art of the Ramble. However, seeing as how I write for an audience and not a class, I will have to ramble less.
