I would say that my first ever Friday Five was a success.

renough is a leet photoshop master. My FFIV Bard icon is thanks to him, and once he blurs the background on Kitchen Stadium I will have an awesome cooking/food icon.
I will try to do Aesop's "The Hart and the Hunter" as the story of the week on Tuesday.
Vacation plan
Mom and dad want to go visit the Clinton Presidential Library. I'm interested in seeing some of Slick Willy's correspondence. I wonder if they have Vincent Foster stuff lying around...
Pet peeve
Those stupid new AOL icons that go "Aaaah" or "Noooo". Mostly because it breaks the rhythm of my music.
Convo of the Day
D2: Quick, Mike, name the twelve state based effects!
[Mike names off the first six state based effects according to rule 4.20 in the Magic: The Gathering Comprehensive Rules, but gets stuck on the seventh]
[D2 then grabs a katana and starts to repeatedly pull it out of its sheath]
Mike: Daniel, what does unsheating sword have a rule to do with anything?
D2: Mike, look at this!
[D2 grabs a stack of Magic cards and waves them in front of Mike]
Mike: Wait, number seven is draw a card with no library lose the game.
D2: Finally! I was trying to draw my sword, sir.
Mike: No, you were unsheating your katana.
D2: What? Do you not see that I am drawing the sword out?
Mike: No. That's what I get for being too technical.

Having Christmas fall on a Sunday forces a whole slate of NFL games to be on Saturday. How strange.
Anime recycling
I'm pretty sure the character designer of Elfen Lied was the same character designer for Chobits, as both main characters have the same pointy looking things coming out of their ears.
O Christmas tree
Mom and Dad decided to go for a decidedly smaller Chrismas tree this year.
Cooking Question
I've got Turkey Chili and cornbread/artisan bread on the menu for tonight. Need a third dish, thinking about grabbing some frozen fried okra (hey I'm from the South here). Any other suggesitons about greens with chili?
