By special request of the very special (in a good way) [livejournal.com profile] zarhooie, I will be cutting all Convos of the Day from now on.

Narnia trivia
Pevensie is an anagram for pensieve.

One hundred user icons
I am currently at 100 of 100 icons, although I am happy with only sixty of them. I just felt like filling the rest of the space though, as it is only human to do so.

Convo of the Day

Kat: That's right, you're a stupid Republican.
D2: Well then, are you a dumb Democrat?
Kat: No, we're the smart ones.
D2: That's the problem.

Kat: You know, you'd make a great husband for a lucky girl some day.
D2: Why would you say that?
Kat: Because you don't always have to be right.
D2: Just because I say you're right doesn't actually mean I think you're right.
Kat: Exactly. You're good at telling people what they want to hear.

Kat: You know, you misquote a lot of people.
D2: You've never read Thucydides have you.
Kat: Nope.
D2: Thucydides "recorded" a bunch of speeches, but he never wrote them dowm verbatim. Instead, he wrote down what they were really saying.

Jameson: I was wrong before. I thought she was your Faye to your Spike, but now I see that she's Asuka.
D2: So I'm Shinji Ikari now?
Jameson: Yep.
D2: Thanks for making me into a loser.

Quote of the Day
“If people take the trouble to cook, you should take the trouble to eat.”
~Robert Morley

Link of the Day
You can make a South Park icon by going to South Park Studio (thanks [livejournal.com profile] rhapsody_98).

Sports Report
So I just lost quite a few points in my bowl pick em when Nebraska beat Michigan. How upsetting.

And it's sort of awkward for the No. 5 team in the nation to play in the Holiday Bowl. There are still things messed up about the BCS.

FFXII demo
Lucky Andy got a preview demo of FFXII when he got Dragon Quest 8 for Xmas. Final Fantasy fans, rejoice!

On meal planning
Kat said corn goes well with potatoes.

A silly explanation
Are shepherds much greater than their sheep? Sure, if that shepherd is Jesus Christ. But if it's a mere human shepherd guiding a human flock, maybe not. So you could say that there really isn't enough to determine whether the shepherd is greater than the sheep.

But, those who went ahead and voted yes and no are leaders because they're willing to take risks. The rest of you hedge your bets and wait, so you are more followers than leaders. Is this a perfect explanation? Of course not, but this is one of those random psychological things of asking a silly question. You can interpret the results a number of ways and still be right.

Curiosity question
Do atheists have a holiday?

Ah yes, that one is good. I'll have to remember to post that one on April Fool's.
