Apr. 11th, 2006 10:28 amRunoff elections
Ah, I love the smell of democracy in the morning. Runoff election today for vice president of Tulsa's Student Association. I can't tell you who to vote for, but please do vote TU peeps.
I'm too lazy
Yeah, I didn't do so hot on a fundamentals test yesterday...for no reason than sheer laziness. Hard to believe, I know.
Last issue of the Collegian
Today is the official release of the last issue of the campus newspaper. Wahoo! I'll be returning as opinion editor next year so it should be interesting times with an election season next fall.
Verse of the Day
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.”
1 Peter 2:24
Convo of the Day
Rouge: So, um, our shutoff notice is tomorrow.
D2: Why don't you sell some of your anime and games?
Rouge: Some anime I could part with, but I don't think I could part with my games.
D2: That doesn't make any sense.
Rouge: I'd rather sit with my FF1 cartridge in the dark than sell it for a million dollars.
Quote of the Day
"Laziness will cause you pain."
~Slogan on T-shirt worn at the Vee Arnis Jitsu School of Self-Defense
Link of the Day
The Outbursts of Everett True. A hilarious comic from the turn of the twentieth century. (vector:

Sports Report
Baseball opens, NBA and NHL playoffs almost here. And Lefty wins another Master!
And watching a walkoff homer is awesome, even if it's a Double A game.
Lucky Stiff
I watched Lucky Stiff last Thursday, a musical about a lucky dead man. I must say it was very amusing.
Facebook addiction
Facebook has a new feature that lets you know when someone last updated...now that's too addicting.

Date: 2006-04-11 05:29 pm (UTC)Some procrastination allow you to unwind for a bit, to take a breath of fresh air before diving in again. By fudging around with something seemingly unimportant, you might stumble upon some new form or technique or information that you might be able to use later on.
Procrastination to avoid doing stuff is detrimental. In the end, the work is not going to go away -- it just accumulates while you're not doing anything of it, prompting more procrastination. There are strategies to break through that, though.
