Most of my life, I've hated salad.

But as an adult, I've come to *adore* two types of salad:
1) a good Caesar and
2) straight iceberge lettuce with Benihana's Ginger Salad Dressing

On that second one? if you don't have a Benihana (http://www.benihana.com/) near you, this is a pretty good recreation of the recipe
http://www.thegutsygourmet.net/benihana_dressing.html

although we substitute for the peanut oil due to Kira's allergy if we make it at home... recently, Benihana got rid of peanut oil and started using a mix of saffron, sunflower, and rice oils -- so most times, I just stop by there and buy a pint on the way home - it's only good for a week tho...

The caesar is much easier - but I've found that Cardini's dressings rock... especially their fat-free one, which you can't tell is fat free!!

My favorite salad depends entirely on the time of year and the foods I'm currently craving. Though I have to admit that the salad with spinach leaves, bleu cheese chunks, walnuts, grapes, and peaches all drizzled with vinegar holds a special place in my heart.
