Apr. 18th, 2007 01:29 pmBecause I am in such a good mood at the moment...but I will only do this for five people, as I could be here all day if I opened it up at large, and I have a book to write. So first five comments take it.
1. Tell you why I added you to my friends list and/or why I keep you there.
2. Associate you with something. A song, a color, a work of art, a character in a play, a piece of fruit. SOMETHING.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you/us.
5. Associate you with a character from a book or a film.
6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (Or else I'll just ask a random question. I reserve that right.)
7. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
8. In return, you must spread this disease in your LJ.

Date: 2007-04-18 11:36 pm (UTC)2. The Tortoise from "The Hare and the Tortoise." Not to sound rude, but you aren't the quickest or brightest person in the room. However, you have an innate ability to finish the things you start, which is a quality that doesn't seem impressive until you realize how many people drop out of college and stay dropped out.
3. You cook well.
4. I remember being completely unimpressed meeting you for the first time and I wasn't hesitant to show it (I know, of all people I'm somebody who should know not to judge a book by its cover).
5. The wedding planner from The Wedding Planner.
6. In your opinion, why are weddings such a big deal?
7. Actually, I like the one you used in this comment.

Date: 2007-04-18 11:41 pm (UTC)2. Beatles' song "Eight Days a Week." You seem to be the type of person who needs the extra day.
3. You friended me on a whim.
4. You friended me on a whim.
5. Robin Williams' character from "What Dreams May Come." Don't know why, this is just more intuition than anything else.
6. What did you see in my writing that spurred you to friend me?
7. I've only seen you use one icon, so I guess your default icon.
And yes, you may put this on your journal. I just reserve the right that you will do this for me even if I'm not in the first five comments.
This is my personal favorite icon of mine, so you can see a new one :-)
Date: 2007-04-19 05:27 pm (UTC)2. For some reason I think your favorite color is green. You strike me as a green. Or maybe red. I might be completely wrong.
3. I like that you seem to think about and dissect things before coming to a conclusion. And even after the conclusion, you're probably still thinking.
4. There was that time that we commented on each others' journals...?
5. Maybe the dad from American Beauty. I don't know you, but I get the feeling that you might come across as really mild, but I wouldn't want to make you angry, and there's probably a lot more going on than you show people. But again, I could be totally wrong about that.
6. Do you identify or affiliate with any religion now? In other words, how would you identify spiritually, if at all?
7. Probably the one below, the South Park-like one.
And to answer your question: I like talking about religion. A lot. So anyone who posts stuff about their beliefs, etc., I'm totally in for that. Also, again, you're thoughtful in your writing, and I appreciate that.

Date: 2007-04-19 06:59 pm (UTC)6. Um, officially I'm agnostic so I don't believe in one particular religion. Right now I'm going to be chased after by a lot of Southern Baptists so I've decided to head them off at the pass and go to a Southern Baptist church.

Date: 2007-04-18 11:49 pm (UTC)2. A cocoon. We're still waiting to see the beautiful butterfly that will hatch from it.
3. You work two jobs in high school. You have a strong sense of responsibility.
4. Your grammar improved leaps and bounds after I chided you about how a teenage smart@$$ sounds like a dumb@$$ when using incorrect capitalization and punctuation.
5. Atticus Finch from "To Kill A Mockingbird". If you do become a lawyer, that's the kind of lawyer you will be.
6. That day you were about to make a deal with the devil, was it for my return?
7. The one entitled "neverknow" because it's so true. And the fact that I'm partial to anime.

Date: 2007-04-19 12:06 am (UTC)2. Uh, Kimiko from Megatokyo. No reason other than you had that avatar for so long.
3. You haven't been put off by my socially conservative ideals.
4. Hmmm, probably that one time I wrote about gay marriage...
5. Sadly, Terra from Final Fantasy VI just because of the name connection.
6. Why did you friend me again?
7. Kimiko, because it introduced me to Megatokyo.

Date: 2007-04-19 08:06 pm (UTC)About a week before you came back, I was looking through some of my old files and it seems I had saved some of the comments from the gay marriage post. It got me to wondering where you were and when you were coming back. :D
