He is indeed awesome. As a graphics editor, he saved my butt many times when I was the opinion editor for the college newspaper at TU. He even wrote an article for me on abortion once when I was behind on a deadline.
Sadly, no, that's not how the Collegian works. Editors get paid a set amount. If not enough people are writing an article that week, than I have to write an article to cover the space (this sadly happened way too often). People who wrote for me I think got 13 bucks or so per article, and that was a set amount. However, I believe the abortion thing was one of those point-counterpoint things I had and it's awkward for the editor to write one of those.
