Why kids amuse me

So yesterday, I was helping out with the Street Reach ministry of my hometown church. Basically we go to some low income apartments and play with kids. It's one of those cool volunteer jobs if you have the time. The Baptist churches get together and the responsbility of each week shifts to a different church in the area, so kids from different youth groups get to meet each other.

In any case, a particular young black girl named Quinesha took a liking to me. Then she tried to get me to pick up a "big stick" for her (it was more like a twig, but she called it "big stick" for some odd reason). Seeing how I was tired from playing basketball in the hot summer sun, I decided to try one of the oldest tricks in the book.

Q: Hey Daniel, get that big stick for me?
D2: What big stick?
Q: That stick over there!
D2: What are you talking about?
Q: That stick OVER THERE!!!
D2: I'm sorry, I don't see any stick...
[Quinesha gets up and goes right by the stick and points at it]
Q: THIS ONE!
D2: What? Ooooohhhh, that stick. Well, while you're over there, could you pick it up and bring it back over here?
Q: Okay!

I've taken a hiatus from Magic since I work weekends and go to summer school. Real life, it's a killer on your hobbies! :_(

Also, you're missing out on the greatest Magic since Urza's Block. You could always just download Magic Workstation or something and play for free, digitally?

It's not so much a money as time thing. Since I used up three and a half years toiling away in engineering instead of going to do teaching, I'm a little behind. To catch up, I have to sacrifice time I would have normally had. This is the Law of Equivalent Exchange.
