Volunteer assistant coach
My old Quiz Bowl coach just had his first baby, a cute daughter born about a week and a half ago. Seeing as how much of his time will be devoted to his baby, I offered my services as an assistant coach and he accepted.

A Red Sox rookie threw a no-no in only his second start, but the biggest sporting news of the decade is best summed up by the guy at Sunday Morning Quarterback:
I'm still trying to synthesize the Appalachian State upset of Michigan. If Biff from Back to the Future saw that game in his sportsbook from the past, he couldn't stake his ill-gotten fortune on it, because his secret would be blown. Anyone who bet anything significant on a straight-up ASU win should be immediately pursued, arrested and interrogated about his time travel capabilities. He probably shot Kennedy. Both of them.

I've added Balls of Fury to my ever growing list of movies that I must see. Now to make time for them is another matter!

Just FYI.
