Things I wish I didn't knew
Jul. 23rd, 2005 12:22 amThere are things that I wish I didn't knew. Yes, you read that right.
Okay, I misspoke tonight. But there are times when I wish I wasn't so cynical. For example...
Tonight, the internet guru took me out to see The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr, Abridged, which was pleasantly entertaining and crowd interactive. Before the play started, one of the actors introduced the president of the board of directors. She in turn recognized an elderly gentleman who had volunteered at the arts center for over fifty years. He got a special plaque in recognition for his service. Oh, and he received lifetime season tickets to the arts center as well.
Cool, except my first thought was "Hmmm, you know, they're actually not losing much on this. How much longer will this guy be alive to enjoy those season tickets anyways?"
