Well, so I'm always joking with my high school inner circle that we are a real life role playing party. We're a mix of classes, skills, and worldviews. We each have our own role in the party. We have a understanding with each other. In Dungeons and Dragon/Final Fantsy terms we have a lawful-good White Mage (me), neutral-good Red Mage (Father John), neutral-evil Black Mage (Lucky Andy), neutral-neutral Monk (Samurai Maph), chaotic-evil Rogue/Thief (Anime Mike), and a chaotic-neutral Fighter/Tank (Random Jameson).

Our story would be called "Three Star Heroes," so named because if you averaged all our skills together you would come out at three stars (out of five), i.e. a little better than average. Who would the main character be? Technically, we're all the heroes of our own life stories. However, if I had to choose who the main character was, I would say it would be the thief Anime Mike.

Why the thief? Well, he has the least redeeming qualities of our bunch. He lives by stealing off the kindness of others. I know I enable him, but the Scriptures demand that I cannot turn my back on starving man. I mean, if I don't feed the ergophobic thief every once in awhile, he'll die of starvation. Then I'll have that black mark on my soul. I can't do that...

I had hoped that the monk Samurai Maph would be able to come back from Iraq in time for the feast celebrating the my return to good health, but it was not to be. But I'm sure sometime this year, when the monk Samurai Maph is on leave, we'll be able to convene the party for an adventure. Now that would be our final fantasy (or twelve, as the case will be soon).

Here are the pics from the feast...thanks to Aaron, thief Anime Mike's roommate for acting as cameraman.

We're eating 100% American hamburger patties because, as my grey T-shirt says, "Animals Taste Good."

I hardly ever use my LiveJournal for this, but I need to make a Public Service Announcement. If there's anyone from TU that needs a ride back to campus from the airport, I am available tomorrow. You can find my cell phone number on Facebook. I say this because I've gone to the airport to pick up three people already this weekend. A few more won't kill me.

Having said that, PLEASE DO NOT DO THE FOLLOWING:

Monsieur Maine: Hey, D2, I need a ride.
D2: Okay.
[D2 goes to airport. Searches for Monsieur Maine for half an hour. Then D2's cell phone rings...]
D2: Hello?
Monsieur Maine: Um, D2, I don't need a ride anymore.
D2: Oh, who picked ya up?
Monsieur Maine: I called a cab. I, uh, forgot that you were coming to pick me up.
