Yeah, I'm up at this hour. I'm too high strung to go back to sleep. Stress from finals combined with hours of reading and studying have turned me into a half awake zombie. Mind's too active to sleep, yet not active enough to want to do something productive like work on my final essay...

I disagree with that article so strongly, I can't even say. What the hell do I care if someone can gather data on how people my age felt about the stimulus? I'd much rather not have someone's post to my Wall about how wasted I was at such and such party be available to the public en masse. I am changing my settings to complete privacy, because that is some bullshit thar.

I'm becoming more and more confident that there will be a need for online etiquette classes in the future. As it is, kids are just shown how to use the Internet and not how to respect it. The facelessness of the Internet is too much for some of them.

On the one hand, it feels like this is that march where everything cool eventually changes to want to screw you if they can get away with it because "hey maybe we can profit from this somehow?"

On the other hand, one day maybe people will learn that you shouldn't never do anything you wouldn't want people to someday find out about. But politicians haven't learned this yet so I doubt the general public (or even the general internet-using piblic) ever will.
