Misdirection

For the past four weekly Wednesday lunches at the Baptist Student Union, I've been humiliating myself in some skits to advertise for a retreat by the name of Deepend Weekend. I dress up as "Deepend Danny II", a sort of suave Asian sporting the black leather jacket and blue jeans look. Complete with sunglasses. The only problem is I have to gel my hair to spike it, and I despise putting gel in my hair. I'm part of this superhero team that includes the Z3 obsessed "Super Stevo" (he wears a Superman shirt plus a towel for his cape) and the noisy Marcel "Hammer Time" Ficklin (he wears these ridiculously funny blue genie pants).

Anyways, today was the finale. We had everyone thinking that I would wallop Super Stevo with a whipped cream pie to finish it all off. Little did they know that it was all a big ploy. Instead of smashing Stevo's face with the pie, I did a no look quick strike on Hammer Time before he had a chance to react.

I will forever remember the look of complete shock in his eyes that preceded the whipped cream blinding his vision.

It's a strangely satisfying experience, made doubly so when they're not expecting it. At least it made my day ;).
