I don't like either of the teams in the Super Bowl. But I have to pick the Pats because they're playing well as a team and they have Brady, two time MVP, at quarterback.

Isn't it funny that more people anticipate the commericals than the game itself?

[insert my usual complaints about the allocation process at my university here]

In the email that the allocations chair sent out to all the organizations, I'm actually referred to as the Senior Chair. I had been using that term half-jokingly, but apparently my junior chair is giving my due.

I practiced doing some lion dancing for the Chinese New Year's celebration this Wednesday. It's a lot harder than it looks, plus the head is so heavy when you have to try to move with the beat of the drums.

I am going to write a facetious article for my college newspaper about Valentine's Day. I think the paper could use one. It may be my last because of the timesuck that is the allocations process.

I am enjoying the two Bible studies I am doing right now. One is the Forty Days of Purpose, centered around the Purpose Driven Life. The other is Book IV of the Masterlife Bible Study.

Our church did the 40 Days of Purpose study in the last part of last year. I don't agree with everything the author has to say but it is, overall, a good study. It took me a while to get past some of the really wierd translations he uses too.

I admit that I had never heard of the Amplified translation before doing this study.

I had seen that one before. The one that really annoyed me was "The Message" - I came to think of it as the hippie bible.
