As seen on [livejournal.com profile] zoethe.

Think about what cities or towns you've lived in (not just visited) in your life, and post them in your journal:

Fort Smith, Arkansas (supposedly an apartment, 2 houses) - My parents have these pictures of me in one of the apartments that they lived in when they had been in the States for only four years. I was born and raised in the heart of the Bible Belt. A kind elderly couple brought my sister and I to church every Sunday. A surprising amount of Vietnamese live here because one of the distribution points for Vietnam War refugees was nearby Fort Chaffee. I have memories of our first house, a cozy white one, which we lived in from the time I was in preschool to fourth grade. Then we moved to our current house that my parents still live in. Living in one place this long allowed me to have one of those rare friendships that begin in kindergarten. None of my other grade school friends stuck, but quite a few that I knew in junior high did. My parents carefully groomed a high school valedictorian. It's a quite and boring town, which was kind of dull at time but I must say it was a nice place to grow up. I doubt I'll end up going back to live there, but I'll always have fond memories of my hometown.

Tulsa, Oklahoma (dorm, soon an apartment) - Where I am now. First an electrical engineering major, then a dual major in electrical engineering and history, and now just a history major. Whereas in high school I was kind of apathetic about getting involved, the reverse has become true here. I'm not sure why that is, but I'm sure it has to do with having my antisocial tendencies broken. I sometimes wonder if I had gone to Fayetteville if I would just be chugging away at electrical engineering, ignoring my academia. But I've met a lot of cool people while picking up a lot of leadership skills that I was never aware of. This story hasn't been fully written yet, and I'm sure there's much more to it.

We are the literal antitheses of one another. How did we become friends, D?

K, I believe there's some really annoying song about how it's a small world or something.
