In Jin Yong's classic kung fu novel Legend of the Condor Heroes, there are five legendary masters. My favorite guy is Dong Ta Hoang Duoc Su (Vietnamese translation), the Weird Man of the East. He says things that nobody else dares to say, and he doesn't like many of society's rules. I had a random (and rather inappropriate) thought along his line today:

Someone from the Vatican proclaims the Pope's death. That way he can say "April Fool's". Then the Pope would come out and visit everyone and say he's okay.

I dunno, he's old. He dies. Isn't that natural?

Hmmm, just like that certain other case people are getting up in arms about. The Daily Show had it right though...why do so many political big wigs say "Terry" like they've actually known her in real life or something?

Something else is bothering me, but I've got a fellowship retreat among other things this weekend to take care of.
