The NFL Draft had 34 million people watching it. It will be less for the NBA draft but I'm sure there will be quite a ratings spike for ESPN when Bogut gets selected number one. Yep, the Bucks will pick an Australian who played college ball at Utah.

Random note that will be probably be mentioned too much during the draft special: Jordan was picked third in his draft class. The excuse for the team picking first was that they needed a center. The Bucks need a center. Hmmm....

Going to a Final Fantasy concert this Friday in Dallas. Somehow my ole high school crew convinced me to hear Nobuo Uematsu music performed live. Nostalgia and nerds do mix.

In Magic news, the ten painlands will be returning to the core set (that's one way to sell them). City of Brass is out though. But...so are Birds of Paradise. But birds will return in Ravnica, as the whole block is doing the multicolor thing ala Invasion (complete with kicker too, I bet). I think it's likely that City of Brass will return in Ravnica block. I mean, Ravnica is a city of guilds, so there's bound to be some brass somewhere in the city. Taking two good color fixing cards out of the core set and putting them in a block like Ravnica sounds like something they would do (plus it saves them from making yet another city variant).

Is the FF concert orchestral or is it the Black Mages (Nobuo Uematsu's band)?

It would be, if my friend actually gets the tickets confirmed (seeing as how it's one of my lazier friends, I should have checked sooner).

You forgot, in your stock market quotes, to mention that the Yankees are tanking like Enron the day after an Arthur Anderson press conference.

And, I would like to point out that although May sucked hugely, my A's are kicking ass and taking names. And they turned it all around on MY BIRTHDAY.

That team needs to hire me, seriously.

Yankees rebounded at the end of the Subway series so I gave them a push, though it's certainly Enron tanking at this point if you're Steinbrenner. Yankees frontline pitching is thin though, combined with shoddy defense it will be difficult for them to overtake the Twins for the wild card.

Yankee's might be taking Kotsay away from the A's...

Kotsay says that he has no interest in it...Beane says no way. Personally...I think we have a bit of a glut in the outfield...Byrnes, Swisher, Kotsay, Keilty....and they are all playing well. Byrnes and Swish especially do better if they are playing every day...but a year of sitting on the bench last year was evidently enough to kick Keilty in the ass...and he's playing like a phenom.

And that's all I have to say about that.
