Maph, my army friend, came back for three weeks of leave from Iraq. Not too surprisingly, he told me that Iraq was a subject he didn't want to talk about precisely because too many people asked him about it.

A's might actually win the AL West, now that they've gotten over the bulk of their injuries. So could the Astros (though the NL Wild Card is up for grabs).
