I once said that I had a powerful eidetic memory. How powerful? Well, yesterday in my haste to leave the house to drive an hour to my sister's apartment, I forgot my cell phone at my house. I figured this out when I went to my coat pocket to call my sis to tell her I was on the way. My mind instanty flashed to taking the phone out of my coat pocket to put it in the charger.

Thank you absentmindedness.

I was already fifteen minutes out, which is like one fourth of the trip. I really didn't need my phone per se, though it would be inconvenient if my friends tried to call me to tell me the score of the Tulsa game. Meh. Then I remembered I was supposed to call lucky Andy that night to tell him I was coming to visit, and more importantly ask for directions. I tried to IM him, but then my sister's Internet inconveniently crashed. Crap. I was running out of options and patience.

Wait...didn't anime Mike ask for lucky Andy's number a few days ago. Maybe, if I just close my eyes...

It came to me in a flash. I knew the number. I called it and lucky Andy picked up. He didn't recognize my sister's number but he recognized my voice. Boo yah.

Thank you eidetic memory.

Fantasy football wise, I scored 98 points without Shaun Alexander. Bye bye, hapless opponent!

I'm right, and you're wrong. I need control. So yeah, I'm not melancholy, sanguine, or phlegmatic. I am an obsessive-compulsive choleric.

You Have a Choleric Temperament

You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.

You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.

At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior.

Random Jameson said indie pop music was independently recorded pop music. Not indie as in Indian pop, but indie as in independtly recorded. And so it all makes sense now.

Do you prefer to cook or to eat? I am an eating guy myself, though this means I also like to cook somewhat. But not as much as I like to eat.

What's the point in cooking if you're not going to eat it?

Well some people supposedly enjoy cooking for others. This is how I partake of wonderful Baptist casserole.

It's not that I dislike cooking for people, but when I do so, I have a purpose: the consumption of the produced meal in a social setting with agreeable company.

Then I suppose you don't have the concept of a traditional Baptist fellowship dinner. :)

Given the fact that I am an atheist, it would be a mere coincidence if my dinners would follow Baptist traditions. ;)

Seriously, it was hard Googling to find any information on what a fellowship dinner is. I got thousands of hits on scheduled dinners, and only hit number 27 was this page that explained what the idea is.
Now, I love socialising with friends, and dinner is often included: it allows us to show off our l33t cooking sk1llz and treat our friends to dishes they would otherwise not have known about. It is true that these dinners are not open to anybody (and I gather a fellowship dinner should), but then again I see lots of mentions of pre-planned menus and reservations which would make it hard for spontaneous participation. And looking at these photos from a fellowship dinner at a teppan-yaki restaurant, it seems to me that some fellowship dinners are more gatherings of like-minded people to socialise while enjoying a meal.
So, according to the traditional sense, no, I don't have fellowship dinners. But according to the more 'loose' interpretation, I certainly do.
