A Christmas Story in photos

The TU family wishes you Happy Holidays! (that painful sound you just heard were a bunch of groaning from my Golden Hurricane fans)

Singin' with the trees, singin' with the trees...

The Christmas festivities begin Christmas Eve night, around eight o'clock, as Daniel plays a rendition of "Carol of the Bells" and "What Child is This?" without the benefit of sheet music. Thank you eidetic memory.

I don't even have to look at the keys to play the melody of "Greensleeves".

Presenting one of the penguins in the Stuffed Animal Relocation Program. I had to liberate him from a claw machine.

I played the part of Santa Jester that night, but I was dead serious when I rescued these two penguins from certain doom. I will soon entrust

Family picture. Notice that I am a taller than average Asian. And the only one wearing socks.

I'm pondering Big Sis's Santa spring hat. Yep, her hat was a red spring.

Big Sis and I tried to do the back to back thing...but she's too short. Or I'm too tall, six foot Asians are an uncommon sight.

Mom and Dad gave me a new razor, shaving cream, and an electric toothbrush. They are masters of subtlety.

I wonder what Big Sis's gift is?

A camera bag?!? How did you know, Big Sis, how did you know?

American grandparents...these gloves...they give me THE POWER!!!

Presenting...the camera bag.

Camera bags are the most awesomest gift evar!

These gloves make me feel oh-so-dreamy.

A nice pic of Mom and Dad holding the gifts Big Sis got for them. Big Sis got them what all Asians secretly want for Christmas...karaoke DVDs.

D2 holds the trees.

D2 goes into Fighting Tree Stance, Position Number Two.

A Matrix moment with the trees.

Cute pic of Big Sis when she was younger and the Hallmark snowman.

Hey ladies, the Santa Jester knows you've been absolutely naughty. Leaving out milk and cookies won't be good enough this year! He needs to play, if you know what I mean. Ho ho ho...

D2, Father John, and Jeremy "The Lyin'" Lyon after the Midnight Bass at Episcopalian church of St. Bartholomew's. Father John I've known since kindegarten, while Jeremy was a fellow National Merit Finalist in my high school class. He thought he was liberal until he went to Carleton, whereupon Jeremy found out he was more centrist than he thought. He's going to Pensacola soon to join the Navy. Good luck, sir!

Guess who Jeremy said John looked like, with that distinctive bowtie? One hint: The Daily Show's Jon Steward pwned him on the now defunct Crossfire.

My family with Ralph and Jane at Eastside Baptist Christmas morning, after the service.

Big Sis and I with Ralph and Jane. Ralph and I are actually about equal in height.
A merry celebration of Christ's birth, indeed.
