This isn't even my normal template for gathering my random thoughts since I just want to get a few quick thoughts out that I won't have time to make a coherent post on...
First off, on the movies front I recently watched 300 and Wild Hogs. In my binary system of movie reviews, they both got 1's. 300 had good action even if it was historically inaccurate (jarringly so, in fact for the historian in me), while Wild Hogs was good, clean fun even if the setup of the movie was terrible.
Sportswise, I had Suns-Heat as my NBA finals. Suns are still looking strong, but the Heat looks like a terrible choice now.
My Pittsburgh Pirates are sucking. What else is new? The Tampa Bay Devil Rays have the most exciting lineup of any team, as it's full of potential and speed.
NFL Draft today, wherein the words "next Marques Colston" and "next Tom Brady" and "potential" and "fit the system" will be repeated until they lose meaning.
The NHL playoffs are going on, but since they're on VERSUS no one is paying attention.
The ever-changing video game landscape will be remade after Rock Band. From the same people who brought you Guitar Hero and with the corporate power of MTV will come a game that will redfine peripheral gamery. Online play to play in a band? Yes, yes, I do see this becoming even more popular that the phenomenon that is Guitar Hero. Trust me.
Firestarter: Does the American public actually listen to what candidates say in a debate or do they just watch for how they answer?
