As a NJ resident (and therefore Bon Jovi fan) his singing was terrible. I mean like painful and so strained compared to Jon's, but the beatboxing was cool as hell.

Well, I don't expect amateur singers to be able to match the singer. I do expect them to make the song their own, and I think we can at least agree that Blake did that. :)

If it's truly your favorite song ever, I actually have Blake's extended studio version (the one you can download from americanidol.com for 99 cents). I tried to send it to your livejournal domain but my gmail got the message "Too large".

And yah, I can see Blake having a huge career, just not as huge as Sanjaya. ;)
