I'd post the lyrics to the song if I weren't morally opposed to posting lyrics and poetry.

So yeah, after a slumber of a year, I went out on a date tonight. This shocked a lot of my friends who know me to be an antisocial person. What can I say? My voice of conscience told me to go for it, and I'm glad it did.

The date was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances, but I've learned that's the way life works sometimes. Just when you're having fun, responsibility rears its ugly head.

I'd say the most unusual thing about the date was that she actually understood what I was saying even when I was mumbling (a terrible habit I have). I guess her speech pathology major comes through in times like those.

She's the opposite of me in terms of piano playing. If you don't already know, I love the piano. And yet, I have trouble with the expressive side of playing the piano. She's the exact opposite in that she plays with a lot of emotion, but isn't too big into the theory of it all. Oh well, I'll always still like to make music.

Anyways, at the end of the date, I blurted out that I felt a good rapport with her for the evening.

She said she did, too.

She said she did, too.

Don't put too much stock in just one date, especially if it's artifically shortened, but it sounds like things went well, which is awesome.

You're in the groove, now stay in it.

Hmmm, after "wing it until you ding it", staying in the groove is a bit of a let down. Oh well, you can't hit home runs every time you come up to bat. ^_^
