I just got a paid account on LiveJournal. I'm such a sucker for these things.

I'll consider the twenty-five bucks that I paid for a full year will be covered by my first paycheck from my college newspaper (a whopping twenty-six bucks).

I was going to either choose LJ or xanga eventually, but LJ won out. We'll just call it respect for my Ferrett sensei.

I've read the FAQ, but it's kind of general. Is there anything really snazzy that I should consider doing to spruce up my site now that I have a paid account?

Actually, it's rather sad but the LJ paid account doesn't get you that much. You get more icons and more customizability, and the ability to hold polls, but that's about it.

Oh well, at least I know I'm supporting them. I'll have to find some suitable icons whenever my Internet comes back (internet in residence halls on my campus has been down for two days now).

It's only appropriate the person who got me to blog in the first place would get me to pay for it ;).
