Don't move until you see it

So yeah, I've been conspicuously absent from Facebook and LiveJournal over the past year or so...

Not much to explain except for an old movie called The Search for Bobby Fischer. One of the mantras of the movie is that you "Don't move until you see it." That's a great quote, but it can be taken too far.

I didn't move until I could see myself as a bona fide history teacher. If I can't convince those closest to me of that wish, how can I expect to convince others?

It took me awhile to realize I still had quite a bit of immaturity to conquer. I'm out of school but I'm still planning to become a social studies teacher (specific subjects don't get taught until the latter years of public high school).

I see it, so I'm moving.

p.s. I realize my journal isn't what it used to be so feel free to defriend me or such. I won't be writing too much on here for awhile yet.

From time to time, stealthcomic and I have wondered how things have been going for you. She'll be pleased to know you still want to be a teacher. While there are days she is very frustrated by it, from what I can see overall she finds it very rewarding.
