I'm a man of my word

So, I was having a discussion with two good friends in the BSU. We started discussing whether or not this guy had sung with our praise band. So we made a friendly wager. If I won, then they would help me find a girl for one Marcel "Da Nooooooiiiiise" Ficklin. If I lost, then I would have to use a cheesy pickup line on ten girl.

As it turns out, our friend had sung with the praise choir. We determined it to be a push, so we would still help each other out somewhat. I still had to use a cheesy pickup line on one girl.

My target of choice was one of the girls in this story. The cuter one of course.

Me: Do you have fifty cents that I could borrow?
Cute Target: Yeah, why?
Me: Well, I need to borrow some money so I can call my mom to tell her that I just met the girl of my dreams.

The shocked look on her face was priceless. I don't think I've ever seen anyone's eyes bulge out quite like that before.

What I submitted to the opinion editor for my next article

Thank you everyone for the valuable input on my next opinion article. I knew this online blogging thing would help me out, and it's been tenfold what I expected. I still have a lot of bumps to smooth out (and probably will still have many bumps in the future), but I appreciate everyone for hanging in there with me.

I did some quick googling (as Ferrett-sensei would approve of) on hospital rights. In the half hour I felt like I could devote to googling, I got the impression that Oklahoma hospitals can legally deny hospital visiting rights. I could never quite find a specific case of that happening however.

Paranoidgrl had an interesting thought about granting civil unions to heterosexual couples as well, but I felt like that merited an article in itself.

I realize I'm preaching to the choir in this article, but so be it. I promise to provide a link as soon as my college newspaper puts it online.

I have a few good friends who are willing to call my bull. They helped me see the error of my ways.

I owe someone an apology. I'm sorry for what I did. Even facetiousness has its bounds, and I overstepped it. I ask for your forgiveness and hope we can work past this.
