So I went to Wal Mart to pick up my meds. The lines were full of turkeys. Ah, Thanksgiving.

KFC had this amazing 2.99 meal...drink, leg, breast, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. Since anime Mike and I had to wait like ten minutes longer than normal for our order, they even added in another leg. Sweet.

Thanksgiving also means it's a short turnaround on for my fantasy league. Playoff implications abound, although I have a pretty good shot as my two remaining games I play against the two guys behind me. If I beat either one I am in for sure.

Two Cent Thoughts, part the deux, 11-22-05

So over dinner I was watching the CBS Evening News, where they had a segment on Old Grandma Hardcore. No, it's not that kind of hardcore. It's actually a hardcore gamer grandma (yes, you read that right). She plays games, a lot of games. MTV even has a web show featuring her.

Memorably quote from the Evening News, as provided by her grandson:
"If you meet her at the supermarket, she's really nice and polite. But if you give her a video game controller, she'll kill anything in front of her."

All the news shows tonight had a feature on Microsoft's next generation console, the XBox 360. Microsoft doesn't just want the 360 to be your gaming console, it wants to take over your living room. Just more proof that Bill Gates is indeed trying to complete his quest of world domination. The final battle will be Microsoft vs. Wal Mart.
