I moved among residence rooms a few times when I was in university residence. My last move was from one little bachelor apartment to another slightly less little one, and it was because the person whose basement I was renting sold the house.

Due to my moving-related story, I have never moved wearing jeans ever again ;D

Also, the "other" option was because I was changing rooms. I never lived in the same room at TU.

1) Moved from West Virginia to Florida (parent work change)
2) Moved within the same county in Florida (new house & parents' divorce)
3&4) Went to college, effectively moving there and back each of 2 years.
5) Moved locally into a townhouse to stop living with my parents.
6) Moved from the townhouse to an apartment after 6 months due to serious housemate conflicts...
7) ...which also included moving back into parent's house for 2 weeks because of a gap between the townhouse lease ending and the apartment lease beginning.

You will move in the next five years.

I hope so. Economy willing and all that.

Please tell me your favorite moving-related story.

Moving into the new house when I was in middle school we took a break for dinner and to have some pizza from the Dominoes that was like a mile away. For some reason we had already set up the TV and the movie "Major League" was playing (this was like 1992 so it was probably the network TV debut).

Moving from the townhouse required transporting a queen size mattress strapped vertically into the bed of my truck. And then I had to cross a mile long bridge and it was a windy day. Thankfully, neither the mattress sailed away nor did I get blown over or off the road. But it felt like it came close.

I often wish we could clone ourselves when we move. =)
