I had a good chance to Top 8 the PTQ that I went to. I just misunderstand a new mechanic of my favorite collectible card game so I verily lost. I hope that my tournament report will be accpeted by the finest Magic website around, so I won't go into the boring details. Basically, I should have realized what my opponent was doing but before I could it was too late. However, it was a memorable moment.

The unexpectedly early exit from the tournament allowed me to catch the latter half of the Tulsa-Boise State football game. Up 42-35 with five minutes to go, Tulsa in good position to pull off the upset. Then Boise State drove the length of the field to tie up the score with a minute and a half left. At this point, both teams still had all three of their timeouts left.

You're the TU coach, what do you do? Do you:
A)Play it safe
B)Go for it

I would have played it safe. You're at home at the homecoming game. The other team has just scored to tie up the game so momentum is on the other side. Call three straight runs, force the other team to use their timeouts, and take your chances in overtime (which is much fairer in college).

We called a QB draw first down, but our QB ran out of bounds. Then we called a run that went nowhere. Then we called a pass that was well defended.

Net gain: Boise State lost one timeout and had two timeouts and fifty six seconds to drive thirty yards for the win. As with all good teams, they did so.

My day could have been worse...but I did have fun hanging out with old friends that I rarely get to see anymore. Sometimes you get so busy you forget those old bonds you have from long ago.

Unfortunately, homecoming ends with the American football game for the home team.

Homecoming refers to a certain weekend that a school sets aside to welcome alumni, i.e. graduates of that university of high school, to come back and see what has changed. It's a good time to meet with people from your class and relive your golden years. Traditionally, the current student body does a lot of decorating, events, floats, and/or yard decorations to celebrate.

It's a lot of work for someone who is involved with student government.

I'm sorry I keep bugging you but I've read you writing about student goverment before, and while I have some idea of it's tasks there is much i still do not know. like, how many people are there? what are all the tasks you have to do? I've been a student representative myself but I guess there are some differences between my relativly small contribution and your tasks.
