Surviving by the skin of your teeth

Wow, today was the BSU II's first round playoff game in intramural basketball (don't worry, I'm just a bench warmer). We led by two towards the end of the regulation, but the opposing team tied it after so many second chances. Then at the end of overtime we had a chance to win but we were off. So it came down to double overtime, where the first to four points would win. They scored first, already getting halfway home. After several up and down possessions, we finally nailed a three to take the lead. Madness ensued. I think we missed a total of four clinching free throw shots and a freebie. The refs were loose as several non calls happened on both sides. Then came the bounces pass to the Z3 obsessed Stevo and he rimmed it home for the win.

Wow, that was exciting stuff.

It was exciting just reading it! Now, everyone does 100 free throws at the next practice. No excuse for anyone (other than Shaq) to shoot less than 60%. :)

I don't think the guys who had the chance at the clinching free throws would have been able to sleep yesterday if we had lost, hehehe.
