Random thoughts, 3-27-05
Mar. 27th, 2005 01:11 amHave you noticed that there has been this strange prevalence of Jesus movies lately?
------------------------------
March Madness has lived up to its hype. Two OT thrillers in one day!
Just don't ask about my bracket.
------------------------------
A short rant on biased announcers. They're blind! Okay, in the Nova-UNC game, there was a controversial traveling call on the Nova player with nine seconds left. Billy Packer was like, count the steps with me folks. I'm expecting a steady "One, two, three." Nope, Packer went "One, twothree." On the replay he did it again! UNC bias I tell you, UNC bias.
------------------------------
I visited the Machu Picchu exhibit from Yale's Peabody Museum at Gilcrease, one of the local museums. It's fascinating to ponder how ancient societies built such technological wonders.
------------------------------
On the anime front, Slayers is picking up. It's good, but still a bit too random.
------------------------------
When I was younger and going to church, there would be one Sunday out of the year where an inordinate amount of people would exclaim to me "The Lord is risen!" I'd reply, "Yeah" or "Okay". They'd give me one of those strange looks, like I didn't know what was up. Isn't that what we learned every Sunday?
A little later, my sister informed me that I was supposed to respond "The Lord is risen indeed."
