Random Thoughts, 11-12-05
Nov. 12th, 2005 01:49 pmOkay, blogging will officially become the main way to keep my mind occupied. I have a few topics in mind. If you have any suggestions, please comment.
-Why I believe God
-Anime obsessed Mike
-Random Jameson
-Quiet Luke
-Why I'm a social conservative and economic liberal
-My true thoughts on gay marriage
-The Noise Story
-Review of The Alchemist
-Rant on Senate
-The dark side of hope
-Why I call myself a spoiled brat
----------------------------------------------
Magic wise, I'm goldfishing the Mind's Desire deck. Seems pretty powerful, but I feel like I'm screwing up no less than twice per goldfish.
On another Magic note, I gave a bunch of extra Ravnica commons and uncommons to a sophomore here at TU who's just getting into Magic. Nothing like giving newbies food for thought.
----------------------------------------------
Masterlife I dinner was awesome. Very, very creative takes on the Disciple's Cross. They made their leaders proud. I would have shed a tear if the medicine didn't prevent me from being too sad.
----------------------------------------------
Getting four Lightnings in a row on Mario Kart 64 is unbeatable.
----------------------------------------------
I know to keep my mind occupied next semester, I will have to do two things. First, I will be once again write for the Collegian. I'll start with an article on depression, mainly for myself. Then I think I'll channel my moderate self into the opinion pages again.
The other thing I will do is return to SA Senate. Wait, don't I get bitter in Senate? Yes, but that's because I was on the worst committee in terms of dealing with people and workload. Now I'm a Justice so I have speaking privileges but I don't get to make motions or vote, which is a plus for me. I feel like reprising my role as Senate Storyteller, as I've picked up a few more stories that I want to tell. And I really like that respect that an emeritus senator receives. Besides, I have to keep tabs on my opponents across the political aisle.
