Random Thoughts, 11-13-05

Oh yeah people, if you read my journal, prepare to keep up with the bombardment of my thoughts. The medicine gives me these random bursts of energy in which I have to disperse somehow.

I am now trying to wake up at 7:00am everyday in order to give schedule and regularity to my life.

Okay, so when I was depressed, I lacked energy and motivation. The mountain of laundry I brought home is the biggest sign of that. That's today's project...

Meanwhile, I'll be watching some football, cheering for my fantasy team. This week is one of the closest weeks ever as I'm only favored by one point according to the guru.

When you were growing up, did you eat meals as a family or separately?

We ate together. Often with a guest or two.

We always have family meals together, even at like midnight when my Dad came home from second shift.

When I was young, we all ate together. We still did most of the time when I was older, but there were times when we just ate when we could. (Our schedules got pretty crazy!)

In my junior year of high school we couldn't have family meals because I was working at a movie theater, but other than that we always tried to eat together.

We ate together almost all the time. Actually my mom told me recently that when my brother and I were young, she and my dad decided that we would always try to eat together as a family.

Cool. It's more of a cultural thing in my family to always try to eat together.

We ate together. We had fixed places around the table: my dad's right eye is pretty bad, so my mom was seated to his right -- he could keep an eye on us that way.
When my dad went to work in Germany, he was only home during the weekends and on wednesday. We still ate together then, but for the rest of the week it quickly turned into TV dinners -- though we still all ate together.

We have semiofficial seating at my house. I usually get the best seat to watch TV during the meal. :)
