It's kind of late for that talk
Nov. 16th, 2005 11:19 pmI just had one of those awkward conversations with my dad. No, wait, it was the awkward conversation. You know, the birds and the bees one.
My dad doesn't give me any credit for the first twenty one years of existence. So I humored him.
I guess this is the hint that I should start pumping out the grandkids.

Date: 2005-11-17 04:07 pm (UTC)Oh, and the senator that likes to hear themselves talk is your former co-chair of FAC. She told us that a club couldn't go to a conference and they asked us to cancel it anyway we could so that they could save the money and go to a conference next semester. Well, we asked Julie and she said it would be easiest if we just failed it, but Senator Talksalot wanted to table it indefinitely. She kept saying that it wasn't nice. We spent 20 minutes trying to convince her and Senator Handy that it was a stupid idea. There was no need to be arguing about that so long.
So in discuss, I said, "I like to be nice. In fact, I consider myself a nice person. However, if an organization asks us to get rid of a piece of legislature, they're not going to get offended and worried that senate doesn't pass everything. They asked us to." Then Daniel Jefferies said, "It's not up to Senate to pass every piece of legislature that comes through." Then Senator Talksalot said "To clarify, the e-mail said 'cancel' not 'fail'". And then she went on some speech that I tuned out. Yea... that's who and why.

Date: 2005-11-17 04:38 pm (UTC)Heh, it seems my former junior chair is wasting people's time in Senate like she always does. I suppose I may have not trained her the best under my reign of bitterness, but then again she was Smiles and Sunshine. But give her a little leeway, being in charge of FAC is freaking nerve wracking having to deal with all sorts of people worried about money.
Who's Senator Handy? A new Senator or when that I'm actually familiar with?
