In honor of Scat Head Obsidian...Ask D2!

One of my favorite LJers, the polyamorous Scat Hed Obsidian (scathedobsidian), seems to be going through a rather busy patch of his life. I loved his Word of the Week and his Ask Billy Series. So, in his stead, I've decided to steal continue those series. The Word of the Week will most likely be recorded Monday.

Ask D2 has the same rules as Ask Billy. Figure out the rules from Scat Hed's questions.

What is your greatest triumph, what is your greatest tragedy and how are they connected?

My greatest triumph and my greatest tragedy have the strongest connection possible. They are one and the same. It was graduating valedictorian out of my high school class of five hundred people. My parents had told me that I would graduate valedictorian ever since I could remember. Hearing that "Daniel Tu, Class Valedictorian" as I received my diploma was fulfilling that prophecy. Then again, Oscar Wilde once wrote a great line about how there are two tragedies in the world. “There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.”
